FAQWhat is tuesdaynightpoker.com? TNP (or Tuesday Night Poker) currently consists of 8 men who live in New York City and have been getting together to play cards, eat, drink, and yell at each other every single Tuesday night for the last 15 years. Nobody knows why. Those of you not familiar with our game may see this site and ask yourselves, “What the hell does this (article, discussion, etc.) have to do with game of poker.” Our answer would be, on occasion, nothing really. But our game, as anyone involved in a regular friendly poker game would know, isn't necessarily about gambling or cards. It’s about a bunch of guys, friends and enemies, who get together away from their wives and girlfriends and get fucked up and scream and laugh and occasionally resort to mild violence. Our players represent a virtual cross-section of America: Jews and Gentiles, yankees and crackers, urban and rural, people of the planet Earth and Koneo. The membership has evolved slightly over the years—a few have dropped out, a few have joined—but the game has endured and only very rarely missed a session. For everyone’s protection I exclusively use nicknames on this site—though we pretty much use nicknames in real life as well—I can’t even remember what Redcard’s real name is anymore. This site is specifically for us to chronicle our misadventures and archive our data, but based on the letters and emails I’ve received from around the world, not including the hate mail, plenty of others see some sort of entertainment value in this. And if you are so inclined, you may become part of our camaraderie--maybe even get a nickname of your own. Just click here and join our mailing list.
