Lead Story: March 20, 2001
With the Edict down over $50 in a game of only 5 players, those present were subject to a barrage of whining and crying rarely seen from a grown man who gets laid on a regular basis. "I haven't seen him this upset since 'The Association' broke up" recalled Hank. Edict played every hand to the end and lost for nearly an hour and a half, borrowing money from several players when he was broke, whimpering and crying all the while as he stubbornly played himself into oblivion. "Given your losing momentum and the current stock price of ACTV, I'm going to need some collateral on that 10 bucks" Feltman declared as he reached for Edict's car keys. Edict countered desperately, "Where the hell is Doc G....I-I-I thought he was supposed to show up," praying the great fish would help end his drought. For almost two hours EE incessantly repeated his droning mantra: "Oh jeez", "I can't believe it", "Look at what I started the hand out with" blah, blah, blah.
The elder statesman won so much money that ended the night only a $4 loser and in this market that ain't half bad. |
